We applaud all the healthcare and essential workers who are doing their best to help keep everyone safe right now. While we are all doing our part to flatten the curve, we may be dealing with some uncomfortable realities right now. One aspect that may be hard for our patients is the inability to seek treatment for vein issues right now because of travel restrictions or isolation recommendations. We want our patients to know that we are here for you and will do our best to make sure that you get the treatment you need.

If you are unable to seek treatment right now, there are some ways you can mitigate the discomfort and pain of lower extremity venous issues. Here are our five suggestions for how you can take care of your veins while social distancing.

  1. Wear compression stockings. Compression stockings are your first line of defense while you are awaiting vein treatment. They will help to improve your circulation, reduce pain and discomfort, and help prevent future blockages.
