As a vein treatment clinic, we know that many eventually develop varicose, spider, or even venous ulcers. We see it all the time. Venous insufficiency comes for the young, the old, the fit, and the not so fit. But we know that even for those at risk of developing vein health issues, exercise does help, especially exercises that strengthen your legs.
If you love to skip leg day, or you’re tired of the pain and soreness after working out the major muscle groups in your legs, don’t quit! Instead, try these activities to help soothe sore leg muscles after a workout!
- Stretch.
- Use a foam roller to roll out tough knots or cramps
- Take an ice bath
Our 3rd suggestion is the subject of our latest blog. So give it a read and see for yourself how ice baths may help improve your recovery time after a workout and help improve the circulation of blood flow in your body, which helps prevent vein health issues! If an ice cold bath or exercising isn’t helping, then it’s time to come in for a consultation to get your veins looked at. The earlier you seek treatment, the easier it will be to prevent future problems!
